Sex Work is No Longer Exploitation in Indian Penal Code

24 Mar

Good to hear that India has amended their penal code so that commercial sex work is no longer considered to be a form of exploitation. Now, those engaged in fighting exploitation can concentrate on genuine instances of exploitation and abuse. Also, those engaged in sex work can get on with their work. Those who claim to hate exploitation should be happy that sex workers will now be protected by the law, although they will probably continue to think sex work itself is ‘wrong’.
